my story

I started my career as a deputy with the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office. A few years later, I became a prosecutor, spending four years with the State Attorney’s Office in Florida’s First Judicial Circuit. By the time I opened my own practice, I had already seen a criminal case from every angle: the officer building it, the prosecutor deciding what to do with it, and now, the attorney standing beside the person accused.

That perspective shapes the way I work. I know how a case gets built and where it tends to be weak.

My practice is intentionally small and limited to Okaloosa and Walton Counties. I don’t take cases outside criminal defense, and I don’t take on more than I can give real attention to. Most of what matters happens before a trial ever starts: investigation, motions, and preparation that can lead to a dismissal, suppressed evidence, or a resolution that lets a client move forward. When a case does go to trial, I’m ready.

I served as President of the Okaloosa Bar Association from 2024 to 2026, previously led the Okaloosa-Walton Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and now serve as its Chapter Representative. I also sit on the Board of Directors of the All Sports Association.

I grew up in Destin, Florida, studied at the University of Florida, and came home after law school to build this practice.
